Upscale environment, worry-free lifestyle draw them to Morris County

Four years ago, Robb and Theresa
Lillibridge were living in a large house
with a big backyard in Green Bay, Wis.,
when Robb was asked to move to New
Jersey for work.
They started looking at homes in
Morris County, and they fell in love
with Mountain Lakes, but they couldn’t
find a new construction townhome that
provided them with the worry-free lifestyle
they were looking for. They ultimately
decided to rent a home in Denville
and reassess after a few years.
When Legacy of Mountain Lakes
opened, the collection of 39 luxury
townhomes at the intersection of Morris
Avenue and Fanny Road sounded like
just the community they were looking
for. After visiting the community and
touring the model homes, the Lillibridges
decided to purchase a spacious
three-bedroom home with a two-car garage
that is part of the community’s “Carriage
Series.” They moved in this July and are
already living the Mountain Lakes lifestyle
to the fullest.
“We are really pleased with the home
and we love the location,” Robb Lillibridge
said. “Mountain Lakes is a beautiful town.
It has that great Boulevard that runs
through the town with a paved walking

trail, Tourne Park that is nearby and all of
the beautiful lakes. Of course the school
system is incredible. We don’t have any
school-age children, but when you start
thinking about potential resale value down
the road, that is a huge plus.”
The Lillibridges both enjoy an active
lifestyle. They are members of the YMCA
right next door to Legacy of Mountain
Lakes, where they swim laps, run on the
treadmill and take yoga classes. They enjoy
going for runs through the local parks and
running trails, or bicycling through the
town’s many winding lanes and pastoral,
lakeside country roads.
“I feel really safe biking in this community,”
Lillibridge added. “I haven’t felt this
safe on a bicycle since I moved to New
When the Lillibridges return from their
adventures, they come home to a luxurious
home. Their home boasts an open floor
plan on the second floor that includes an expansive living room and dining area, a country kitchen with raised-panel cabinetry and granite countertops and an outdoor deck. The upper level offers an impressive master suite with a walk-in closet and a master bath with granite countertops, dual sinks and Kohler fixtures. There is also a two-car garage, great room and patio on the lower level.
The Lillibridges’ home is bright and cheerful, with numerous windows allowing natural sunlight to beam in. The couple par-ticularly enjoy the open layout of the main living level.
“It’s a very nice, wide open space that you can do a lot with,” Robb Lillibridge said. “It’s a great area for the family. There are a lot of features and amenities in the kitchen and the living room. As a matter of fact, I would say that this is the best kitchen we have ever had as far as being able to work in it and having enough space to move around.”
Location was a major draw for the Lilli-bridges when deciding to buy at Legacy of Mountain Lakes, because the community offered the right mix of upscale suburban tranquility, commutability to Lillibridge’s office and reasonable proximity to New York City. Lillibridge, a vice president of Fulfillment at Pinnacle Foods, has an easy commute of exactly 4.2 miles to his office in Parsippany. Oftentimes, the couple will spend a day in Manhattan and are looking forward to being able to just hop on the train
at the Mountain Lakes NJ Transit station.
Legacy of Mountain Lakes offers four different home types in a Morris County location characterized by winding country roads, bucolic lakes and heavily wooded terrain. With its attractive setting and close proximity to convenient transportation, the community offers a prestigious address. Routes 46, 287 and 80 are all nearby, put-ting residents just minutes from shopping, entertainment and major business centers. The quaint colonial town center of Morris-town is about a five-minute drive away.
Signature Series homes feature three bedrooms, 2½ baths, walk out basements, and either 2,819 or 2,853 square-feet of luxury living space. Upgrade packages are available to expand to even more living space. Optional finished basements, eleva-tors and loft spaces which can be used as an additional bedroom or flex space with full bath are available. Prices for Signature Se-ries homes start from $799,900.
Carriage Series homes are offered in two designs, the “Midvale” and the “Hillcrest,” both of which offer three-bedroom layouts with two full baths, two half baths and one- or two-car garages. The three-story townhomes range from 2,162 to 2,236 finished square feet and are priced from $599,900.
